I’ve been doing this for 25+ years. I used to have a tenured university position, and moved to industry about 7 years ago. Industry is just like academia, but with fewer students, fewer grants, and more secrecy.

Yeah! That's exactly how it is. Usually, plastic DIY kits come with tiny parts that you just need to pop from the plastic holders and assemble. But with #MetalEarth, there's a bit of metal folding and bending that you need to do. That makes it a lot of fun!

Just finished this #MetalEarth model of the 1989 #batmobile that my girlfriend gifted me. Its been a very constructive diversion from my everyday work. I really enjoyed building this and I think that it's a great exercise for developing your hands-on tinkering skills.
