I've heard #MetatextApp is a good one.

Here’s my #mastodon mobile setup of choice for the moment. Two apps unfortunately.

Daily Driver: #icecubesapp
Covers all capabilities except convenient threading. It’s the most robust iOS app for Mastodon Which I’ve found personally. The Dev’s philosophy is also nicely aligned with the spirit of the #Fediverse as well 👍.

I’ve given up using @ivory for a while. Too many weird shenanigans when trying to load new toots and still no way to see alt text. I’m constantly jumping over to #MetatextApp to see what I’ve missed and it’s wasting my time to use both. Too bad, I had such high hopes.

Trying out #MammothApp as a replacement for #MetatextApp. Liking the customisation, particularly text scaling, though it's annoying that the interaction text doesn't scale down too.

I finally felt comfortable enough here to download and try out the #MetaTextApp.

It’s the auto-playing videos in my timeline that are “stealing” my microphones! Happens even when the videos are below the fold.

It turns out that the hearing aids are switching to their iPhone profile in which I have set a lower level for the microphones! I prefer to listen to streamed music with external sounds turned down.

Thankfully MetaText has a setting to turn off Auto -playing videos. I can’t find a similar setting in the Ice Cubes app.

I’m using Metatext on iOS, and my home and local feed are fine, but my federated feed can’t load images. Anyone got any clues as to why? #MetatextApp

I just noticed how emojis on MetaText count as ONE character instead of 2 on the bird site. And I am loving it!!!
Is this throughout mastodon/fediverse, or just particular to #MetatextApp ? I’m curious 🧐😁

@gloria @Soahtree Yes, me as well. I couldn’t get the “hold on image to reveal al-text” method to work in iOS with the main Mastodon App, but I was able to make it work with the #MetatextApp.

I have found something to #doodle on. An old canvas that’s slightly broken and damaged, but still worth paying attention to. I like making art on “broken” things because if ever there’s a subjective word, it’s “broken.” 💚
