🎧 #Mood | Missing #SanFrancisco—the one I never saw. In October 1972, about the time of #DavidBowie's shows at #TheWinterland, #MickRock made this promo film of #JeanGenie starring the "Alladin Sane"-era band, Bowie, and "friend of the band" #CyrindaFoxe. She's dancing on the sidewalk in front of the Mars Hotel at 4th and Howard.

The clip cost $350 to shot/edit, about $2500 in 2023. Bowie made it for play on the #BBC when the album was released the next year, 1973.
