Apparently Ontario's Employment Standards Act classifies anyone who is involved in the testing or operation of IT (any computers) as an "IT professional". IT professionals have no rights as far as breaks, schedule or overtime pay are concerned. Yes, you can legally be expected to work 80 hours, on call 24/7 without compensation. Companies in Ontario use these laws to pay many kinds of employees less than minimum wage.
