Got some inspiration to do some tinkering. Outside housing for a #pa0rdt #miniwhip active #antenna.
I printed two endcaps out of PLA, glued the top one in with silicone caulk. This is not meant to perfectly adhere to the PVC but only provide a watertight seal.
The other part comes later, first have to verify the PCB works.

Here is another nice comparison on 5505 kHz USB (Shannon Volmet). A Miniwhip acive antenna vs. the Wellgood loop.
First 10 seconds listening on the Miniwhip. Then switching to the Wellgood loop.
That's why I use the Miniwhip as auxiliary antenna with my QRM Eliminator.
