This was really Ukraine's failure. Violent #coup in 2014 against the democratically elected president, failure to uphold the #MinskAgreement, then getting into the #Biolab/#Burimsa bed with #USA, and flirting with NATO.

Time to be friends with all, and enemy of none.

Maybe. He also put himself out there as a peace candidate allegedly, while obviously turning a blind eye to the growing extremist forces, the #MinskAgreement and genocide of over 10,000 people in around the Eastern Ukraine, so.

Even politicians here in Australia pretend to care about things like taxEvasion, housingAffordability etc, while doing nothing to stop the rot. In most cases, they do things to make things far worse, actually.

About 1100 Russian soldiers have died.

They show restraint towards their counterparts in Ukraine, because unlike in the US-on-Iraq conflict, or US-on-Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria etc, Russia really just want a friendly country back that isn't talking about nuclear arms to deter a #Russia, who called for upholding #MinskAgreement for 8 years since 2014 and being ignored for it.

Many in Eastern #Ukraine are asking troops what took them so long to rescue them from actual #genocide.
