@Spiderofswords @bookstodon I'm currently reading Sanderson's #Mistborn series and it's the most fun I've had reading a fantasy book since ... oh, more than ten years, surely. It's a breathless thriller/ heist plot with likable characters and some serious themes, wrapped in a thoroughly constructed fantasy setting

📖 #NowReading: The Alloys of Law by Brandon Sanderson.

I read the first #Mistborn trilogy last summer and it was a great read! Brandon Sanderson is an incredible world builder, so it’s so interesting to see how he took the seeds he planted in that first trilogy into this new trilogy. Things like naming towns after old characters, springing religions out of character actions, and more. It’s always a great read!

My friend says that the #Mistborn #boardgame is underrated- I'm inclined to agree. Never read the book(s), but the game has a lot of deal making Card flinging fun to it.

Which makes me wonder, will some Era 3 #mistborn vape their metals?

I just had a dream that mashed up #Mistborn and #Eberron — there were people with Dragonmarks, and then some people who could manifest the abilities of every Dragonmark. Should I stop reading novels before bed? Or should I design a feat chain for these multi-marks?

Some of the frustration of being older and having more crap in my brain is exemplified by having to reread Brandon Sanderson’s Bands Of Mourning, even though I read it within the past year, before I can read book 4, the lost metal.
On the other hand, I get to reread bands of Mourning! So… win-win?

Finished reading Brandon Sanderson’s The Lost Metal last night. Book 7 or 8 or 25 of Mistborn/Cosmere or something like that.
Took me a bit to get my head back into the world but once it got going I was absolutely hooked right through. Probably would have benefitted from a re-read of the earlier novels first.
This feels like a really impactful novel in the Cosmere, and I’m now looking forward to finding out what happens in Era 3 and beyond.
