Sasha Yates has coached the girls’ & boys’ tennis teams at Gettysburg Area High School since 2018. She came out as trans in 2021.

On August 21, over 200 residents showed up to the Gettysburg Area School District board meeting after two previous attempts to push Yates out of her job failed.
