You may have noticed an "anime catgirl" trend of sorts, lately. Not that I'm exactly a fan, mind you, but it's there and hey, Marvel and DC have their own "catgirls", save all the "anime" awkwardness. Why they haven't their own books is beyond me, but Cheetah on WW seems to be on the rise, and Tigra just had the spot on yet another very good book on the Moon Night current series. An excuse like any other to recommend that book again.

Therapy and emotional #12Step work mean I don't relive my #trauma, but I do feel the residue of terror and sadness, especially when the mom gets the belt and we can hear it striking.
Very realistic, except I was typically made to strip naked then wait for my beatings; literal #Torture

Though I don't like how they sometimes throw out the harmful "regardless of politics" line, for two #Mormon (or adjacent) white guys, the #CinemaTherapy #YouTube channel overall does a good job of breaking down depictions of psychological and mental health issues in mainstream entertainment.
I don't have #DID, but #MoonKnight absolutely nails the sheer terror of a child facing the rage of hate-filled parents. I never quite escaped, but I tried and tried to hide inside.

The Warren Ellis & Declan Shalvey's Moon Knight run was short, but intense. Ellis has been hired often to somewhat revamp a lot of second tier/low sales titles and characters. He almost always delivers interesting concepts, and however his work is more often than not mostly ignored after that (WildCATS, cough, WidCATS). His Moon Knight is no exception; among other things, he introduced the all-cool Mr. Knight persona. The TV show made him a clown, save the laughs.
