Yesterday I finished "The cradle of ice" by James Rollins. It's his second book in the Moon Fall series. It's more of a fantasy saga, so quite a bit different than his science related suspense thrillers about Sigma Force. I really like the series even though I'm not a big fantasy fan. It's still a rich tapestry that you can get lost in, like Herbert or Tolkien.

Mais je m’attendais pas à un tel niveau de nullité qui bouffe à tous les râteliers : Gravity, Interstellar, Elysium, Prometheus, Terminator (et va s’y sur l’autoréférencement sur ID4 etc). 2012 est un chef d’œuvre à côté (au moins on se marre). #critiquecinema

Neulich gesehen: Moonfall. 🌜 Kann Spaß machen, wenn man sich auf Trash einstellt, und ich mochte die Effekte gegen Ende sehr. Allerdings braucht er leider zu lange, um zur Sache zu kommen.

Am watching #Moonfall. It's...awful, but I'm am loving every awful minute of it.

Super-CGI silliness hits my sweet spot for "just enough distraction to keep me focused" while I do other things.

Things like laundry, working on WIP research, and counting book inventory so I know how much to order for #C2E2

It’s been ages since I tried to watch the abomination which is #Moonfall (except the cat, Fuzz Aldrin, the saving grace of the entire movie). And it still bugs me that an entire civilisation who could create a psychotic Alexa, didn’t have a single EMP that could have saved everyone.

I mean, there’s a lot that bugs me about the movie, but that really irks me

Just watched #moonfall which, and I don't think I'm overstating this, is the worst film I've ever seen. Catch it now on Amazon Prime, etc.

『ムーンフォール』を観たよ。なんかアレゲなもののせいで月が地球に落ちてくるのでがんばろう！って話。恐ろしく金のかかった映像と、古い古い古いSFネタと、鼻で笑っちゃうような安上がりの物語と、どいつもこいつも10秒も頭を使わないし30秒もしたらなにもかもを忘れてるような知性を感じない人々があっちこっちで破天荒に暴れまくるだけ。というわけでクソ映画の部類なんだけど、でも、とても楽しいんだ。バカな人々がバカなことをしてるのを見てバカだバカだと指さしてケラケラ笑うのは、そりゃあ楽しいですよ。

Sometimes you just gotta watch a big dumb #movie. #Moonfall is definitely that, with extra emphasis on dumb. Came reaaaly close to ending up on the "just plain bad" side of the "so bad it's good" calculation, but it pulled it out in the end.

Every one of these companies touting their #AI at #CES needs to watch #Moonfall.

Watched #Moonfall & it knew exactly what kind of movie it was and it was so delightfully stupid but I laughed a lot and will probably watch it again.

I was looking for a clip from the George Pal version of The Time Machine and YouTube decided to serve up the moon scene from the 2002 film. This shot right here still gives me chills. Imagine looking up and seeing that - there’s nothing you can do. *shudders*
