@Tim_Eagon @apontious #MorkBorg can also work if you’re into dark fantasy bordering on horror, but it is a very specific vibe. The system is very simple and easy to run. (I’d personally still go with Cairn, though.)

Day 23: COOLEST

There are some #RPGaDay2023 choices you can enjoy on pdf. But, the physical copy of #MörkBorg is on another level.

From the black metal inspired art, typography, layout, design, material selection, feel, vibe. Damn, this things even got a fancy attached bookmark. Plus, probably the perfect form factor to have in hand at the table.

Another #TTRPG in my unplayed category. Several of those I need to correct this year. 🤘

That has to go to Mörk Borg, hands down. The aggressive graphic design plays as big a part in establishing the game's themes and intended play-style as the words themselves. And if you only look at the rules divorced from the graphic design, it's still an excellent game!
