It's Mothering Sunday (Mother's Day) today in the UK.
It's always been complicated for me, 4 lovely children but 7 miscarriages, and always having had a difficult and complicated relationship with my mother.
But this year is the first year without her.

We have just had #MotheringSunday / #MothersDay in the UK. The traditional cake is a 'Simnel Cake'. This is something my grandma used to make. I didn't make one this year but the tradition has moved to Easter a bit so I might make one later.
