Watch: Ukraine Replaces Soviet Emblem on Huge #Kyiv Statue

Workers began to install the Ukrainian coat of arms on the #Motherland Monument in Kyiv, one of Europe’s tallest statues, on Saturday.

The #trident symbol replaces the Soviet hammer and sickle, which were removed from the monument earlier in the week.

Felt pretty down today. Basically been feeling ill every day since beginning Christmas break, and I assume that I'll start feeling well the day before returning to work. Haven't felt like drawing, writing or playing music - all the things I'd been dreaming of doing the moment I got some leave.

I've been thinking of my late mum in the run up to Christmas. I always do at this time of year. Motherland was brilliant as always, but it had me in tears. Poignant and hilarious at the same time #Motherland
