Just repurposed an older laptop and installed #archlinux using the #gnome desktop and the LTS kernel. It is very lightweight, stable, and nimble. Then, installed #kodi and #gsconnect Gnome extension.

Also, repurposed an older #MotorolaG7, upgraded to #lineageos18, installed #kdeconnect.

Connected the laptop to an LED TV. Now, I can control the laptop with the phone with touch and keyboard inputs.

This, my friends, should be a good media center that is completely FOSS!

As of today, it looks like #lineageos supports the #MotorolaG7 ! I just tooted earlier today about how this device wasn't officially supported and by chance it happened. I really want the #MotorolaG7Plus and hope that it, too, is supported soon.
