Going to see Renfield in just a little over 30 minutes. The trailer looked camp and interesting, so I'm excited! I would've missed my #movie if I had not stopped playing #DeadIsland2 in time. The game is fun, but it has some odd issues with random enemy spawning. I can't count the times that moving into an empty area suddenly becomes a zombie hotspot. The Corpsewalker Enterprise beams down their Corpse Red Shirts too often!

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was a movie that didn't take itself too seriously but had moments of seriousness. The antagonist was wisely chosen due to the theatrical drama and antics they'd get up to. I could identify a lot of the spells that were used too...The only thing that sucked was the anxiety caused by two people choosing the furthest up seats by me...In a sea of available seats. 😒😬 #movie

#Elf becoming a #movie with Christmas tradition staying power is *not* something I would have predicted when I saw the video rental store in Albertsons selling overstock used DVD copies for a dollar back when DVDs were still new and finding a used one for under $20 was a good buy.

It has its charm but a little goes a long way, it's among Will Farrell's worst work. Which is impressive given that his baseline is to bomb and not realize it.

Just finished watching #Disenchanted and this is what I've been missing from #Disney all along. Such a fun #movie.

前两周去MVFF看了新片Call Jane，讲女性堕胎的新片。我个人打到3.5/5，中规中矩，不难看，用导演自己的话说是easy to watch，没有很血腥的场面。
AMC 10.28要上映了，感兴趣的可以去看看。
影片最大的看点是题材，但我的不满也来自“主创浪费了题材”的想法，我会期待拍摄质量再提高一些，太好莱坞套路了，主角塑造得还可以，但配角人物的转变过程约等于没有。和上半年在SFFILM看的《正发生》(Happening)完全是两种风格，但这部电影里生活无忧无虑的中产太太女角也为了偷偷堕胎尝试自残，和无数个走投无路用衣架、长针进行堕胎的下层女性形象重叠到一处，我坐在座位上痛哭出声。女性从来没有真正的支配自己身体的自由，无论出身和阶级，从未挣脱过脖子上的锁链，区别只在于这锁链是带着铁锈的还是黄金制成的。

迄今依然不知道真正的纪录片导演是如何工作。假如那部片子是”真的“，该如何边记录又边提炼并把握故事陈述的走向。若是本土导演，或许已经事先有一个大差不差的idea，能知道如何拣选生活中正在发生的片段去呈现。如果是外来的导演（事实上，工业化生产中大部分时候正是某个外来的团队，匆匆地拍上几天，就赶紧打包哪来回哪，毕竟谁也没空花两三年时间才搞一个片子）那，大概率，反而就只会源着某个已有的套路而来，再进一步通过重复而加重这些cliche。
（参与过两次伪记录片拍摄，对这种商业化的事情，感到理解但又不可抑制地厌恶）
结论是，市场化之余，”把人养起来“的终身制雇佣依然是必要的。要.....容许一部分人的无效劳动。这就又回到关于人文学科是否有必要存在这样的、另一些话题上去了。
