@coding_hedgehog I can find myself on google... maybe you have to activate the "Suggest account to others" feature in the Settings > Profile..

Also, it might be instance dependent, and might take a while...
I can find myself in the main account, but cannot in , which is a new account.. but can find posts of others, so....

use the `site: mastodon.online` for a quick test!

I have had a Mastodon account @mstdn.party for months now. I don't recall seeing a single post from or or , even on keyword searches. WordPress and Tumblr are supposed to be using ActivityPub, but I've seen zero posts from either that I recognized?

Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding how ActivityPub works? Do I have to change a setting or something? Am I just getting their stuff but the Mastodon service makes them look like Masto? Thanks.

So, since it looks like mstdn.social is blocking bird.makeup (Twitter mirror service) looks like I'll need to move instances. It's a hassle, but what can you do. 😞

Is there a way to find out which instances are blocked on a particular instance? Would hate to do the move and find out I'm back at square one.

Also: is there a way to keep track of moderation/federation events on an instance?

I've heard that .social has been put in timeout on some smaller servers due to spam concerns. Anybody know if the same is true for .social (my instance)? I seem to be getting less engagement, which may just be the whims of the network, but I was curious if there was something else going on given the convos I've seen.

Also pondering moving to a smaller instance.... Suggestions for open / servers welcome!
