5/x The #Marin #Muirwoods is nearly finished. The TX800 hubs had a solid axle, I changed them to quick release. No pitting, so this rear wheel was just used for a few hundred km. And the Marin Rockstar hub has excellent sealing, wear was absolutely OK. I painted the Alivio cranks with "Felgensilber" (gray car wheel spray paint).

More details on how I used parts not loved in our household (and think I'll be happy with them) in the next days.

@Propshaftrider Ich bastle gerne und hasse es, wenn gute Dinge weggeworfen werden. Ich hab von denen schon so viele Fahrräder abgegriffen. Auch #Diamant Sporträder, die in der lokalen Bubble verteilt wurden. Die meisten flott gemacht und an Geflüchtete weitergegeben. Das #Muirwoods bleibt aber meines und das #Mifa sollte bald mal eine es liebende Person finden, denn die türkisenen Mifa sind auch irgendwie Kult. Und schnelle Räder.

I have no words for people putting a 27.0mm seatpost in a 27.2mm frame. With a heavy rider this can just kill a frame. #Marin #MuirWoods #RatBike

I love it: A rear wheel with EXAL ZX19 and TX800 hub is installed. Seems the hub is 8spd and a 3mm washer is used. I got an 8spd 11-34 cassette and a #SunRace thumbie, so winter rat is a weekend project. #WinterIsComing #Marin #MuirWoods
