#Systemmatters:As mentioned before, I'm not a fan of the hackneyed #Murderhobo adventure playstyle. #TheLairoftheLeopardEmpresses allows this style of play, but places a lot of emphasis on context building. To get "everything" out of your characters, there is hardly any way around joining a cult, guild or other organisation.
There were reasons for the developments in the late 80s, early 90s - even if some revisionists would like to turn back the clock.

Awesome, „a reason“ why I don’t like the #MurderHobo concept of standard #DnD & many clones. A group needs a motivation beyond gold, gods etc. are more than a source of magic etc…

I agree with you, something new without a huge universe like #Disney‘s #Marvel and #StarWars „meaningless“ crap would be great. Usually I stay away from what I call #CorporateFantasy.
