Back home, ripping the cd's I bought in japan. My first time ripping cd's, gotta say I love this #MusicBrainzPicard application.

There is an entire series of new introduction videos to #MusicBrainz thanks to @aerozol . I just watched the video about #MusicBrainzPicard. I think its a great introduction into what Picard can do and how it works.

Nachdem ich erst #jellyfin aufgesetzt habe sah ich in welchen Zustand meine Musiksammlung war. Jetzt dröhnt mir der Kopf aber die Sammlung ist dank #MusicBrainzPicard jetzt Sauber und Ordentlich.

Just came across the @beets tool! Been looking for a CLI to tame my #music collection the way #MusicbrainzPicard does, given it’s on a headless machine. Gonna see if this will work for the full library of disorganized mess. One album at a time!

@SomaFMrusty yes i have thoughts, but they’re unhelpful. namely: i use #MusicBrainzPicard to manage my library, and moved away from both Apple Music and Spotify years ago.

Over the weekend I've been looking into some performance issues when loading files in #MusicBrainzPicard . Funny thing is that the faster your disk IO the more the UI lags. It's kind of logical if you think about it, but at firs looked counterintuitive anyway. But good news is I found some performance bottlenecks. The next release should run smoother in many situations.

I installed #soundJuice on #ubuntu to be able to get #metaData off the the CD and it prompted me to get an account on #musicBrainz I later noticed that #rythmbox also prompted me to look. While documentation on music Brainz prompted me to get #MusicBrainzPicard

This is #MusicBrainzPicard running on ChromeOS. If I'll find the time over the holidays I'll do a blog post about some more unusual setups to run Picard with.

@tulpa I gave #beets a serious try once, but in the end #MusicBrainzPicard worked better for me.
