A group of #Muslim police officers is working to make it harder to speak publicly about how Muslim extremists in the #UK use their faith as a justification for terror attacks. In mid-November, the National Association of #MuslimPolice (NAMP) asked the Home Office and the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) to stopping using terms as “Islamist,” “ #Islamism,” and “Jihadism” in their public utterances. In their place, NAMP recommends the use of phrases such as “ISIS-inspired terrorism” and “anti-Western extremism.”
