First few mins, I thought the story was not as strong. But then we get to the island, & it starts really building. Was in tears by the end.

What I like about this story is there is no black & white. There are no easy answers. No one is without sin, or devoid of good. And it handles that complexity well. And still keeps it at a level I think kids can understand. All w/ #CartoonSaloon's usual fluid talent. Total recommend.

I got a chance to watch #MyFathersDragon on #Netflix a lot sooner than planned which was great.

I recommend watching it. Wholesome #story about friendship and believing in yourself which is corny but there's a reason so many stories feature these themes. I hope people get a chance to watch this with their families. Highly recommend 👌

Listening to the soundtrack of #MyFathersDragon and trying to find similar execution in Indian music. Struggling to find purely instrumental music that is scored to a scene. The vast majority of music is vocal. Even when used in an in between scene, it’s typically a portion of a lyrical song, usually the main one, and is not actually scored to a scene. Will update on what I find, if I find anything. Fwiw, comparing these two styles is a long standing hobby :)

I am so happy for the children these days because the material made for them is so good and varied. Watched My Father’s Dragon with my son and it was heart achingly beautiful. So distant from the kind of stories that would be told by Disney. Love love love.

I haven't seen a lot about this yet, but #MyFathersDragon on Netflix is a pretty great animated kids' movie. It reminded me a little of Nocturna,
