I see that the My Neighbour Totoro stage show has finished it's run at the Barbican Centre - it was a brilliant piece of theatre, a wonderful adaptation. Feel privileged to have seen it.

Had a fabulous start to 2023 watching the superb My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican today with the family.

I’ve never seen a play so creative and full of joy! Every set change is artfully done, the puppeteers gracefully dance around the stage (even in the dark), and the totoro was something to behold (created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop no less). It’s brilliant to be at a theatre where the audience whoop and gasp with joy throughout. Recommended! #theatre #MyNeighbourTotoro #StudioGhibli

My Neighbour Totoro, the theatre version was fantastic! So creative and thoughtfully executed, the result was extremely moving.

I got to see the RSC's My Neighbour Totoro yesterday and it is such a delightful family show. The puppetry was absolutely incredible, I loved the live music throughout the show (Joe Hisaishi's score sounded as great as ever in this reworking of the film soundtrack), and the physicality of the performers added so much to the characterisation and the theatricality of the piece.

Saw the RSC production of #MyNeighbourTotoro at The Barbican last night and ohmygoodness it was completely amazing. Magical... the puppetry, the physicality of the performers, the sets, the music... beyond fantastic. If you can get hold of a returned ticket, definitely go!

The #royalshakespearecompany production #MyNeighbourTotoro at the #barbicancentre was simply wonderful storytelling. Sometimes what you need from your art fix is joy and beauty, and this delivered both. A treat.
