#OTD Christopher "Kit" Marlowe, English Elizabethan #Poet & "Writer, is born.

He died young at 29 - from a stabbing in a bar fight.

His #Poem, "A Bed of Roses," was published posthumously in 1599.

"Come live with me & be my #Love,
& we will all the pleasures prove
That valleys, groves, hills, & fields,
#Woods or steepy mountain yields.

& I will make thee beds of #Roses
& a thousand fragrant #Posies,
A cap of #Flowers, & a #Kirtle
Embroidered all with #Leaves of #Myrtle."

#Myrtle decided to join me in the office this morning to do my #Screenwriting course reading--and then it was time for her allergy shot. We are at the tail end (no pun intended) of her second vial and will start vial 3 in a week or two. Of course, we have no idea if the shots are really helping. We may not know until next Spring/early Summer, which is when her allergy symptoms started really appearing. 1/2
