There are some things in scripture that are hidden to us that we have never seen before like in (Jn 16:25) when Jesus reveals to the apostles, the symbolic meaning of the mysterious words He'd been speaking to the crowds.

The Lord wants to give us these bigger portions, but in order for God to even begin feeding us with increasing knowledge of these hidden treasures within His word, we first have to have eyes that see beyond the parables.

How do we get eyes to see? By first, seeking out the ones (apostles) who are given the gift of sight from Jesus Himself.

Bereite gerade eine Session #MonsterOfTheWeek vor. Ewig her, seit ich es gelesen habe, muss daher nochmal aufgefrischt werden 😅
Aber es macht super Spaß zu lesen und an sich ist das Genre auch voll mein Ding. Habe mir auf #Netflix in letzter Zeit eine Menge #Mystery Serien reingeballert.

God Speaking Plainly

(Jn 16:25) states when the Lord spoke, it was in a covered or hidden language. Jesus told His disciples He will now begin to speak to them plainly.

While the Apostles received the plain words and deeper meanings of the riddles He taught, the crowds continued to be directed in parables or mysteries.

If there are two ways of receiving God's wisdom, is the Lord speaking to you plainly or in a parable? He desires to reveal Himself to those who really love Him and keep His commandments but, how can we do that correctly if we're still reading scripture with a literal/historical mindset? To open these mysteries up, we need an apostle who God speaks to plainly.

I love reading #Thrillers, #Horrors, #Mystery, and all the #Creepy, #Dark stories. However I can read some#Sci-fi and good #Fantasy, so today I'm looking for some #Dystopian Novel. Hope I'll find something good. I'm still in the process of adding books to my shelf/list on my phone.

Habe jetzt auch die #Mystery #Serie #Equinox aus 🇩🇰 durch und bin leider wieder enttäuscht. Wieder einmal ist es das Finale, das eine vielversprechende Erzählung verpuffen lässt. Es fehlten einfach zu viele Informationen, damit das letztlich Sinn macht. Hatte große 'Lost' Vibes. Außerdem führten viele Plot Points ins Leere. An anderer Stelle gab es dafür den Zaunpfahl ins Gesicht. So kann man sich am Ende nicht einmal selbst eine Theorie spinnen.

In meinem Marathon der #Netflix #Mystery #Serien bin ich jetzt mit der isländischen Produktion #Katla fertig. Bisher die schwächste. Es passiert einfach kaum etwas. Hätte eher zu einem #IndieFilm gepasst. Auch die Auflösung kam aus dem Nichts und funktionierte einfach nicht. Dafür war das Finale ausnehmend deprimierend. Das es noch einen Teaser auf eine mögliche 2. Staffel gibt hat mich auch gestört, wenn sie noch Ideen haben hätten sie die lieber hier reingetan.

If one can see (emphasis supplied) with the eyes of faith, not based on the reflections of photons, but on the symbolic meaning of the image, then one will begin to see with the eyes that Moses, the prophets, Jesus, the Apostles and the Early Church Fathers saw with.

This is the same understanding that Apostle Michael Petro teaches with, referred to as the apostolic language. It is the symbolic way in which all of Scripture must be seen. The Apostle Paul describes his Jewish pedigree (ref Philipians 3:5) prior to getting his spiritual myopia healed. Meaning, he had a different way of interpreting the Scriptures, which is how it was meant to be.

We are renewed into the image of Him when our eyes open and we begin to see the knowledge (mysteries) of Scripture (Col 3:10). The wisdom of God is hidden in a mystery, which are the deeper things that His Spirit comes to reveal (1 Co 2:10).
The word “mystery,” translates to the Greek word “musterion,” which speaks of secrets confined only to the initiated, or those who have the eyes to see and ears to hear it.
The mysteries of Scripture is the mystery of Christ, and that has the power to dramatically change your life!

Some people relax with drink, or smutty videos, or other vices.
I watch #crimedrama reruns when there’re no new ones. ☺️
I love mysteries, and even write my own under another pen name.
Not overly dramatic, interpersonal trash though. Has to be the good ones, like Vera, Poirot, Marple, Criminal Intent, Sherlock, Elementary, something that gets the brain working, not the soap operas.
