I made it back to my car, and then back home. But first, I had to navigate disembarking as a #pedestrian off a #ferry boat built for #cars. Luckily for me, one of those cars refused to start, and I got to sprint off while the crew got to going again, rather than having to wait 'til the very last "for my safety."

If you are not familiar with the #NCCoast you may not know that transit doesn't exist here. Particularly not intercity transit. Also cities do not exist. Nor taxis or Ubers

Fortunately I have resources and family so this is merely a huge inconvenience. If not I would be stranded. And screwed.

I have just learned that the #ferry that is supposed to return me to my car tomorrow will not be running tomorrow.
So I will have to go to an entirely different port 67 miles away and "make my own way" back to my car
