Just about managed to do another temporary multi-camera set up at our church to project the organists performing at a recital, however things never quite go smoothly: Laptop could see the projectors through the 20m HDMI cable but projectors weren't getting a signal. Switched to the 5m cable, all good (we've had issues like this before with other, shorter cables)... 1/?

This is one of the reason I prefer #NDI. Just use old mobile phones as cameras. But there is a gotcha: iPhones for the Chinese market do NOT work with NDI tobstream. Most likely a restriction, but #Newtek couldn't tell me. So I use #Android devices or iPad.

Using OBS Studio with NDI from RPMFusion on #Fedora.

Considering to create a flatpak from this to, as #NDI is important to me.

I use hardware HDMI converters and also run this on all machines; including Android and iOS.

Our little toaster co-host PCs didn't have the grunt needed for OBS-NDI. It took some (delete expletive) doing but here we have #NDI broadcasting direct from ffmpeg over the network at 1080p on a i5-3470 with plenty of CPU to spare.
