The member for Cook then said the royal commission was a quasi-legal process, a new Morrisonian doctrine about the law.

The royal commission was not quasi-legal, it is real and constituted by the law. 46 days of public hearings, over 100 witnesses under oath.

Today I submitted a form for my son to have his #NDIS plan reviewed....

The original document that I provided the NDIS was 23 pages long.

The three documents that I provided for the NDIS plan review was also 23 pages long.

It is #exhausting.

Imagine what it is like for participants without support?

Tonight I got to see the incredibly hard-working Chrystale Langford honoured as ACT’s NAIDOC 2023 Elder of the Year.

I’ll be smiling all weekend at having been there to see that happen. She’s a brilliant, strong advocate for health and NDIS for First Nations people.

I'll say one thing about being in the #MyAgedCare system instead of the #NDIS: when your case manager learns you've had a downturn, they actually ask if you need additional help.

Prepping to deal with the #NDIS again this week. I was just talking to a friend who said she had to tell them how often she went to the toilet, who put her clothes on her and how, what assistance she required in the bathroom, etc. etc.

It's so voyeuristic and perverted. No one in this country besides disabled people is expected to participate in this level of invasion of privacy. No free abled (that it, outside of an institutional environment like a prison) would ever tolerate it.

I'm already at the upper limit of what the #MyAgedCare system provides. I'm hardly likely to be *less* disabled in 10 years.

But the #NDIS process had me feeling like there was so little for me, and so little *of* me, that things got...not good.

When they rejected my claim and I appealed, the NDIA set a lawyer on me. I had no chance.

But I really need to try again.

There's still fuck all available for young people, and once diseases associated with aging kick in, what then?

The aged care system isn't actually going to be enough to support me. It's time, I guess, to have another crack at the #NDIS. Faaaark.

This FedGov should have their desire to manipulate markets curtailed.

Our FedGov has been playing footsies with Defence and what a corrupt mess this is and have never done that well ie Subs but the states still get sucked into handing over to them things that shouldn’t be handed over.

The one small blessing is states didn’t hand over Health to Fedgov so we didn’t have Morrison killing us during #covid
