I can't bring myself to support either team.

I just cannot support Panthers with everything that's happening in Florida right now. And I just cannot support Golden Knights because I'm so anti-gambling, which is the thing Vegas is known for.

Only four NHL teams in league history have come back from a three to zero game deficit to win the playoff series.

The 1942 Maple Leafs did so, defeating the Red Wings to win the Cup. This is the only "reverse sweep" to occur in the Stanley Final.

The 1975 NY Islanders dynasty did it in the Quarter-Final round against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The 2010 Philadelphia Flyers came back from 3-0 to eliminate the Boston Bruins in the Semi-Finals.

The 2014 LA Kings usurped the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference Final, They beat the Rangers in the final to capture their second Cup in three seasons. They won three game sevens and set a record for most wins facing elimination in a single season... They won seven.

Can the Dallas Stars become only the fourth team to accomplish the feat? I say not but, my prognostication is not great this playoff year. The Lightning and Hurricanes are golfing and the Panthers are in the Stanley Cup Final so, what do I know. I was correct predicting that the Bruins would succumb to the "President’s Trophy Curse" but, not until the second round. It's definitely an off year around the board.

Not that I like it but, Florida will win the Cup. The glass slipper seems to fit and it's definitely been their year, Just ask around Boston and Toronto.

1929 - The Bruins swept the Habs and the Rangers swept the Maple Leafs. (Before league expansion, the merger with the WHL, and the existence Conferences, the Semi-Final was the round before the Cup final). 1929 was the first ever NHL Final between two US teams. Boston won their first Stanley Cup, sweeping the defending champion NY Rangers

1972 - The Bruins swept the #STLBlues and the NY Rangers swept the Chicago Blackhawks to set up a rematch of 1929's Final. Boston won that Final in six games.

1992 - This time the Bruins would be on the losing end of a sweep in the Eastern Conference Final, losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Chicago Blackhawks swept the Red Wings, then swept the Edmonton Oilers in the WCF. #66 and the Pens captured their second Cup with another sweep, downing the Hawks in the Final.

OK, so Panthers & Hurricanes have now played the equivalent of TWO WHOLE BACK TO BACK GAMES. And they're going in to 4OT in 15 minutes. It hasn't ended yet.

A game is usually 60 minutes worth of skating that takes close to 3 hours of real world time from initial puck drop until the final whistle. It has been 120 minutes of skating so far, the game started at 10:10am AEST (roughly) and it's now 3:08pm AEST #NHLPlayoffs

Good call. The Panthers player went in to the blue paint on his own and made contact with the goalie moments before the Hurricanes player started pushing him anywhere. Interference made even without the Hurricanes player. No Goal is the right call. #NHLPlayoffs
