Maybe happy to let it slide until there’s a new political presence in Westminster. Assuming SF get a win at the next GE in RoI and more MPs in WM from a UK GE, it will neuter the DUP forever: and Tories can continue to be their pretend friends. @murchadhfinn Nothing will please those who are so jealous of Féile they would rather it was cancelled, that learn from it’s success. If the Wolfe Tones changed the words of that line to “Ohh, Ahh, Up the UI” or even played ‘God Save The King’ they would still be raging, such is their unhinged hate. @murchadhfinn Foster also infamously told an inquiry into #RHI that she ‘can’t be over every jot and tittle’ She’s has also conveniently forgotten that RoI pays for any NI students to take advantage of the Erasmus scheme. RoI contributed to some very nice new roads in the West of the Province recently. RoI have funded the Orange Order through various grants. RoI makes it’s medical and hospital facilities available to NI patients. @irelandpolitics #NIPolitics

GBNews also had considerably less viewers this year, than they did last year. They stepped in for live coverage after BBC reduced to an hour of highlights shown in the evening. @murchadhfinn Of great concern to us here in NI, and probably also for SNP and Scotland is Starmer’s labelling of himself as a ‘Unionist’. I’m very much afraid he will do nothing to continue implementation and uphold the GFA or to pressurise the DUP into Stormont. I don’t know if he has ever engaged with FF/FG either. He’s simply moved Labour to the old Tory stance, while Tories have moved hard-right. @irelandpolitics #mastodaoine #NIpolitics

@BBCNewsUK APNI and their Leader, Naomi Long get appalling abuse - regularly called the Nasty Party, all kinds of homophobic and trans abuse is regularly posted to/about their elected representatives. They have had offices subjected to attacks, break-ins, petrol bombs, I’m really pleased to see that at least one abuser has been called to account. #APNI @irelandpolitics #NIPolitics

Interesting that someone is finally tackling the vexed question of Green Pastures evangelical set up in Northern Ireland. This is a very light overview and doesn’t touch on the many scandals, rumours and stories of the place. As a church it has tax-free charitable status.
