Itβs not often you see the UK looking like this! However thereβs a very photogenic low on the Atlantic, and another moving in from the east to spoil the party! Image decoded this morning from #NOAA19.

Beautiful clear skies over the UK today but trouble is brewing in the Atlantic for Wednesday. Frosty tonight but a sunny Easter weekend on the cards! #weather #meteorology #ukweather #ukweatherchat #SatelliteImage #NOAA19

#Introductions, my first foray into Mastodon! I have been active on Twitter for 10 years and like the look of this, so if youβre into #Weather, #ClimateChange and #Radio then give me a follow!
I run the WessexWeather website https://www.wessexweather.net, am a licensed radio ham with a special interest in #Shortwave, and decode my own weather #Satellite images. Hereβs one I received from #NOAA19 earlier!

Interesting. There is significantly less noise overall, but there were points at which the signal just cut out. That's what those black bands are. I suspect that's the wind blowing, but it could also be that there are things like trees and houses in the way. #NOAA19 #weather #satellite
