Story Time:

I taught kid's #SundaySchool yesterday & we talked about David & Goliath.

My #Bible translation (#NRSV) says Goliath was 6 cubits, with has a note saying other translations say 4. That puts Goliath between 6 & 9 feet tall.

I told my kids for comparison that Goliath would be about Shaq's height. Which then led to a rabbit hole of pics for my 11 year old of #Shaq side by side with other people.

Kids are fun.

@George Here in Canada, the Lectionary uses the #NRSV translation, which in this case refers to "Hades". I won't make any general claim about what English Bible translation is best, but the NRSV does follow the Greek here.
