Got to show off the #NScale tornado scene I worked on at a #ModelTrain show a couple months back!
The tornado comes down from the clouds and touches down in the town before it goes back up... leaving the nearby trailer park untouched. 😉
It was a huge hit and I'm excited to have gotten it working for the show!

Shared this on my original account, but -
This is an #NTrak #ModelRailroad module I worked on over the weekend! It's a tornado that emerges from the clouds and "destroys" a little miniature town #diorama.
It's run by an #Arduino with motion, lights, and (soon) sound!
The module will be on free public display as part of a big #NScale train layout on December 9th and 10th, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the public library in Glendora, California.

Yesterday I worked on this cool tornado #NTrak module for my local #NScale #ModelRailroad club.
The tornado is run using an #Arduino which runs 2 motors - one pulling a belt left-right (like a 3D printer X axis) and one spinning the tornado. Metal guiderails rotate the tornado back up into the clouds as it approaches the end, and limit switches detect when it hits either end.
