Cow Vigilantes in Nashik Kill One, Injure Another on Beef Transportation Suspicions

The victims were two Muslim men who were transporting meat to Mumbai. They were stopped and attacked by a group of cow vigilantes in Nashik district. Local police have arrested 11 people for the incident.

Not my first trip to this store in #Nashik but this time I had a specific goal: to buy a Punjabi #dhol to play in a cousin-in-law’s wedding. The process was an interesting experience in just how regional #India is. In the west “dhol” (#drum) is synonymous with a Punjabi dhol and of course in Punjab there are legions of dhol craftsmen and options. Here in Nashik they know and play Marathi and Nashik dhols.
