Hmmm... so the #NationalPortraitGallery & the #Getty have reached a deal to jointly buy Reynolds' Portrait of Mai (Omai) - a deal that has been discussed for a while... there's a little more to do to finalise it (i.e. NPG is currently about £1mn short) but looks like the new joint ownership will go ahead...

The Q. will be, how does this work; five years in London, five in LA?

If so will a constant albeit leisurely commute have an adverse effect on the picture?
