The following day we climbed the slabs to the left and continued onto the summit of Schärtenspitze. First Alpine multi-pitch climb of my friend. Got caught by a thunderstorm on our way down.

I attended the successful defense of a Master Student whom I co-supervised with Franz Essl (Uni Vienna). She worked on the changes in leaf trait composition with successional ages in the glacier forefields of #Blaueis #NationalparkBerchtesgaden
It is always good to see students finishing nicely, but sad to say farewell.
