@jaimeloma
The United States should do the same with our Indigenous People, you know, the Native Americans.

The same groups stopping anything like that happening here are the same ones trying in Australia.

Not a coincidence for sure.

It would sure be nice if we passed something like the Ausie’s will hopefully do and immediately give the Cherokee their seat in Congress like the treaty guaranteed?

Today in Labor History December 21, 1598: The Mapuche, led by cacique Pelentaru, defeated Spanish troops in southern Chile in the Battle of Curalaba, killing all but 2 of the 50 soldiers. The battle contributed to the general Mapuche uprising that destroyed the Seven Cities (the core of Colonial Chile) and that forced the Spanish to rethink their battle tactics.

Today in Labor History December 15, 1890: The U.S. military arrested Lakota leader Sitting Bull for failing to stop his people from practicing the Ghost Dance. During his arrest, one of his men, Catch the Bear, fired at Lieutenant "Bull Head," who turned and shot Sitting Bull. Both men died. The people living in Sitting Bull's camp fled to the Pine Ridge Reservation. On December 29, 1890, the 7th Cavalry caught them at Wounded Knee on and slaughtered nearly 300 men, women and children.
