I was having tons of photography fun in the Sunflower field in Ariss, Ontario, Canada when this lovely Monarch Butterfly decided to feed on some yellow Sunflowers. Monarch Butterflies are now listed as endangered.

I was very excited to see this beautiful lime green Luna Moth, Actias Luna, Nearctic saturniid, at the cottage at Key River Ontario Canada. It is a rare sight as this gorgeous, nocturnal and very large adult moth lives for only seven days! It mates, reproduces and dies in a week. It has no mouth and doesn't eat.

A Pileated Woodpecker is a very large, striking, forest bird with red crest and white and black plumage. This juvenile Pileated Woodpecker could hear me, and then saw me, but was more interested in the foraging for food in the cracks of the bark on the trees.

The Red Fox, Vulpes vulpes, is a small doglike mammal with a sharp pointed face and ears and an agile, lightly built body and a coat of lustrous fur. This hungry Red Fox kept coming around looking for food at the same time each day, 8:00 pm and 8:00 am. at the Key River Canada.
