In clubs and bars...
The first time I saw #Nazareth live, it was at a place called Barn 22 - it's a converted barn on highway 22, near Grayson, Saskatchewan. The tour tee-shirts they were selling even had #Grayson listed as a stop!. And the show was utterly amazing. It was very much the show captured on their live album 'Snaz (also known as It's Naz), though that was in a stadium.

97 followers · 1050 posts · Server mindly.socialMy favourite band, if I had to pick one, is Nazareth - classic 70s & 80s guitar rock. They liked a good cover tune. Their version of "Love Hurts", originally by Roy Orbison, is okay in my book, but it's a little too close to the original.
"This Flight Tonight" is *fantastic*, and many people don't even know it's originally a Joni Mitchell song. The two sound nothing alike.

So a lot of people don't know this, but beneath the old city of #Nazareth there is an extensive network of tunnels connecting the main sites - the Greek Orthodox church, the Catholic Basilica, the White Mosque. These were used in ancient times to help defend the town from attack. Nowadays you can visit the "Holy Caves", near Mary's Well - sadly the rest of the complex is not accessible (except if you know people...). Some day...
