Starting with an interesting summary of how people store imagery and what that affords, the talk then dives into the important #NeRF approach and how that can dramatically improve #algorithm performance on visual/spatial tasks. I've been working with NVIDIA's "Instant Neural Graphics Primitives" (https://github.com/NVlabs/instant-ngp) recently and it's astonishing. Rarely do you read a paper (or use a technology) that speeds up the state-of-the-art by 10,000x. 12hrs of NeRF training drops to seconds. #nvidia #ml #nn #NeRF
