#CircuitPython doings: I just published a guide on the @adafruit learning system about adapting a #NeXTComputers bus mouse to a modern computer with the power of CircuitPython!

Should I do another mouse adapter guide? If so, what do you suggest? Please, nothing that will break the bank when I have to buy it on ebay!

It was a fork by Adobe to kill its *own* Display PostScript (c.1987) and its sibling EPS (Encapsulated PS) co-developed with NeXT and inspired by what Sun Microsystems did with NeWS, its Network extensible Window System (1986) #computerhistory #NeXTComputers

Great progress today -- the #NeXTComputers #keyboard went from "blank screen" to "working almost 100%" in just a few hours. #CircuitPython is amazing like that. And the #raspberrypi #rp2040 microcontroller is a champ for implementing slightly odd serial protocols.

In fact, I'm typing these very words on the keyboard 🤯

The guide is planned to come out next month in honor of the 10th anniversary of LadyAda's version of this project for Arduino. But you can take a gander at the source code now:

@galaxis @stevenf "I used to run and support NeXT systems at work" Woa, cool! Where? NSA? Montreal McGill University? CERN? I don't know of any other places having used NeXT computers🤣 Speaking of CERN, do you know if some museum (online or IR) has a _running_ copy of TBL original programs?
