Our "metaverse" future is in the hands of Meta and Roblox 😩
(#neosvr please save us!)

@Catwoman69y2k afaik, avatars in both #VRChat and #NeosVR have to be a complete package. There is no underlying skeleton onto which parts can be kitbashed like on #SecondLife
so lepidopteroid over on twitter was kind enough to model an outfit for my aurum avatar based on some Hanmonster sketches. I managed to get it into Neos, needs more work for VRChat.
The avatar itself was done by me in Blender. I've been working on it off and on for a while so expect more updates. #art #3dart #vr #neosvr #vrchat #blender

Time to join the "got banned by Karrel" club.
(This is also my first custom badge. It's funny to me.)
I learned quite a bit tonight. I'm going to try and adjust the outlines so they remain selected when clicked.
Really liking the idea of an external menu instead of doing radial menu fu. The only challenge was getting the menu to spawn in front of the user.

@Wolf_Baginski I used to have PiHole on a Pi, but I later turned a scrapped office computer into a Proxmox beast, which now handles most tasks for me, including being the previous pfSense router.
The only reason I stopped was because I was playing with a loaded dice, given that the CPU doesn't support PCI passthru, yet I had it working.
If I did use a Pi for a server, it'd most likely be a headless server for #NeosVR, so PCs with drive bays could have internal servers.
Day 2 of Guitar Hero tomfoolery.
Added some lights to the buttons area to help indicate which ones were pressed from afar. I am also trying medium difficulty. Outside of VR, it isn't that bad. Inside VR, however, is much tougher due to the Index controller's size. It either blocks the fret hands or gets in the way of the strumming.
I should find a way to make the buttons emit when pressed or something. There is a subtle pressing animation, but it isn't enough.

Playing Clone Hero while in #NeosVR. The controller is tracked with a custom mount and the inputs are relayed back to the model (i.e., press the red button, the red button on the model is also pressed). Still no interest for #vrchat.
Granted, this is day 1 of me trying a Guitar Hero game ever.

Version 1.01 of the gamepad reader is now merged and released! Hat switches are now readable, adding a ton of extra options.
Additionally, a public folder containing a basic core reader for NeosVR has been included. There is no support for VRChat at this time.

Just finished adding Hat support to my gamepad reader project. This required redoing a chunk of the Logix to support more handlers in the future. I'll merge it on the main branch when I get up.

Currently thinking about how to work on a pathfinding system for NeosVR. I'm thinking about a node-based setup, where each node knows who can connect to it, allowing the system to determine which path gets the AI closer to the anticipated goal better.
The issue is that it only does single-step checks, since recursive handling would be a nightmare.
