One thing about #OSes, many are of course privacy nightmares, and even nice linux ones we might think are good can often be caught 'phoning home' to a server like Amzn, Msft, Cflare under a (silly) proviso of '#ConnectivityCheck'. The first three letters of that hashtag say enough in our view.
Many also phoneHome to #Cloudflare and other #dotcons for #NetworkTimeProtocol (seen as #NTP when running #tcpdump).

So… #I2P users have at times had wildly poor network time syncronicity and connectivity issues?
By default most #NetworkTimeProtocol (NTP) packets are sent every 30 minutes to an hour, over an #unencrypted UDP connection (port 123).
Do we need to look into #NTP packets, are they being intercepted? Is it worth adjusting our NTP servers (or /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf file) to ensure secure (#NTPv4) packet transfers?
