The Conservative Party of Canada have just passed anti-trans policies at the Conservative Policy Convention.

These policies are mirror images of the anti-trans legislation that have been passed in almost all Republican states.

They remove access to gender affirming care, remove access to public facilities for trans women...etc.

So, in the last 24 hours, the capital of Canada’s Northwest Territory has been evacuated, and a wildfire jumped across the Okanagan lake near Kelowna.

Meanwhile, in Alberta, the UCP government continues to double down on blocking any effort to reduce Alberta’s carbon emissions - in spite of Alberta being one of the heaviest per-capita emitters in Canada.

Climate denial is alive and well, and all of us will pay the price for the inaction of con govts.

Conservatism views cruelty as a feature, not a bug.

Just my opinion here, but the state, and every legislator who voted for this travesty deserves to be collectively sued on the basis that situations like this were reasonably foreseeable, and blatantly unjust.
