This is not some "side issue". It's not something that only affects people far away (from where?). These are major world crises. Other major world crises, including ones that we're not ignoring, are implicated in them.

#Africa matters. It matters in a whole lot more ways than those of us who don't live there often think. And it matters because it's home for over a billion people.
