I love it when fog rolls in. It always makes for spectacular imagery, very spooky atmosphere, but it can turn ordinary boring scenes into something beautiful and interesting.

I sometimes like to dabble in wildlife photography. I don't have the equipment for it but in this case this red squirrel didn't mind I was rather close with my 105mm macro lens haha. I haven't met a friendly squirrel before around here. Pretty happy with this shot though.

Still having a hard time deciding between 35mm and 50mm. They are pretty close in general but still very different. I kind of like the way 35mm looks to me more if I'm being honest. I just don't need both lenses, the 35mm is more versatile overall but the 50mm can isolate subjects a little bit better but my 105mm can isolate them even more! Haha. 🤔

I have lots of issues with the Nikkor Z 35mm f1.8 S lens. But I really like the image quality and the character the lens renders. However the auto focus of the lens is gotta be one of those most whacky out of all Nikon's Z-mount lenses. The thing is though, I feel like the hardware is there and Nikon just needs to workout a few kinks in the lens firmware and focus algorithm that could solve a lot of problems and make it much better lens.

Today I felt well enough to go outside and "try" to take a photograph something, I mean anything. It's been a wet winter here in Vermont, all the snow is gone and so figured since it was raining I'd try to find some cool rain drops. Not my greatest photo but that's okay, it got me outdoors and that's all that matters to me.

We made an impromptu trip up to Michigan to surprise my mom. Since the day was terrifically gloomy, I decided to take another trip over to South Haven.

I missed the bulk of the ice but there was still some nice build-up along the shore. I may also have inadvertently gone wading while capturing some of these images! 😆

Love my new , especially with the Z 24-120 F4, colours, image quality are amazing, but the dust on the open sensor is really a bit annoying compared to my . Any tips apart from don‘t change the lens so often and clean regularly?

I haven't decided yet between these two primes. I think I prefer 50mm over the 35mm focal length but I also prefer 28mm over 35mm focal length 😅
