I learned (quite late) that Argentinean #VTuber #Nimu self-leaked her real face by accident, and it caused some doxxing attempts towards her plus her boyfriend revealing a picture of her full body before closing his account a day later and a large wave of Latin American #VTubers revealing their faces, too, in the #TodosConNimu hashtag on Twitter.
I've never seen such openness to a future devastation for a large part of the VTuber scene, at least from the bottom of America. This is just insane.
Now more VTubers are driving curiosity to their IRL selves and probably unconsciously driving interest to getting further leaks and doxxes, unless they opt to harden their defenses at a much stricter level that'll make things uncomfortable. It all seems like a catch 22 to me.
This whole mess... Just... Ugh! It hurts my head!
