I was in #Lithuania. What I knew about the history of #Kaunas was mostly things like the ghetto etc. But it was difficult to find information about that in the tourist office.

The #NinthFort was not easy to find. I booked a guided tour and I was the only guest (guide was excellent!).

All official attention was about glorious old history and about the suffering under the Russian occupation. It seemed as if Jews were not regarded as a part of the history of the country. Weird.
