A very dry and windy spring made it difficult for our broccolis and cauliflowers to get bedded in. A little earlier than expected, I’ve been harvesting ‘Miranda’ broccoli for blanching and freezing. 8 x 200g bags now tucked away in the freezer for when the snow is thick on the ground.

Mandel (almond) potatoes 🥔 planted last night in the #NoDig #NoDig64N garden, only 74 days after St Patrick’s Day. The mandel is a northern Swedish delicacy, beloved on Sweden’s National Day and Midsummer, for which we’ve held back a good sized crate from last summer’s harvest.

The #NoDig64N garden (#NoDig at 64°N) has been under snow this week. But thanks to our big preserving jars and some foresight, we’ve got homemade tomato sauce ready to go for Friday night dinner.
