Many on Twitter are confused saying people in southern Europe shouldn’t complain as the climate is warmer there. But it’s about keeping the home warm, not the outside. Most houses in Albania have #NoHeating. People use the stove or some electronic devices or the AC to heat – as long as they can afford. But electricity and wood are expensive. Thus, houses are often cold and humid still in late spring. Often, you feel warmer outside as inside homes. People are wearing thick jackets inside and outside. Homes are not adequately warm in many countries of Southern Europe, because there is no proper heating, no proper isolation and no money to buy expensive heating alternatives as electricity or wood. It’s much better in mountainous regions of South Eastern Europe where homes are prepared for winter with proper heating systems and isolation. But still, many people can’t afford to have their hearings running.
