My annual road half marathon at Skunk Cabbage Classic with @flrcithaca. Had a fun race. Took it out easy for the first several miles then just took what the day had for me. Finished well. Felt good. Stayed healthy.

Somehow it was 30 degrees and windy but the sun was shining so bright that I was hot enough to take my hat and gloves off after just a few miles.

One of my favorite things about the way I chose to eat is that it has opened me up to trying so many new foods and cooking recipes.

Today I cooked for the first time Legendary Tuscan Potato Soup from @robert.cheeke in the Plant Based Athlete.

It is delicious. And it's easy to make. If I can make it you can make it.

Long run the day after a sprint, and your first core workout in a long, long time is not recommended. Everything in the low core was sore, especially climbing up the hill at the end.

Kept the pace very slow. Heart rate in zone two 80% of the time, and it looks like the time it wasn’t in zone 2, it was only slightly elevated most of the time.

Plan was to run 4 to 4.5 miles. Ended up with just over 5. It was a bit chilling and maybe wearing shorts wasn't the best plan. But we moved at a decent pace to stay warm.
